Liberation 80 Events for senior citizens
(Senior Citizens are those who lived through the occupation, were evacuated, deported or veterans)
Liberation Square ceremony Friday 9th May 2025
The ticket system will be available on Monday 24 March to apply through the Parish. We will need your names within that week to guarantee your seat before general public tickets are made available on Monday 31 March.

Liberation Tea Party Friday 9th May 2025
On completion of the Liberation Day service in the Royal Square, scheduled to take place from 10.00 to 12.00, those senior citizens attending as part of the Parish group will be invited to the Pomme d’Or Hotel for tea, coffee and cakes.
Liberation Lunch reception Friday 9th May 2025
Up to two Senior Citizens from each Parish (plus a partner/carer each) who lived through the occupation and were recipients of parcels from the SS Vega are invited to attend a buffet lunch at the Old Library in the Royal Court building. If you wish to be nominated for one of the two places, please contact the Parish Hall.
