Vote.je tool to help you prepare for voting
New shortlisting tool launched to help Islanders prepare for voting on Election Day
Vote.je has launched an online tool to assist Islanders in recording their voting decisions. The shortlisting tool allows Islanders to read candidate manifestos online and select ‘yes’, ‘no’ or ‘maybe’ on the election candidate.
The feature allows Islanders to revisit their shortlisted candidates at any point, make changes and download it to take with them to the Polling Station on Election Day.
Due to the re-introduction of Senators, Islanders have more votes than in 2022. Islanders have the option to vote for between 12 and 14 candidates, dependent on their constituency. Islanders can clarify their constituency at Vote.je.
This shortlisting tool is designed to make voting easier, simpler and help Islanders in the final countdown to the polls opening at 8am on this Sunday, 7 June.
Islanders can access the tool at: 2026 Election Candidates | Vote.je.
Check and Choose!
You can get ready to vote by checking and choosing the following:
CHECK:
Check your Voter Status, including your name, address and voting constituency on the Electoral Register via one of two means:
- Online: Vote.je has an online look-up where Islanders can check their Voter Status 24×7. Login verification can be completed using either Yoti or Jersey Me.
- Contact your Parish Hall: You can telephone or visit your Parish Hall in person to confirm your registration. Contact details for all the Parish Halls can be found on vote.je/contact-us. (Please note that this option is not available in St Mary after 1pm on Friday 5 June)
The Automatic Voter Registration system uses Employment, Social Security & Housing records held by the Government of Jersey to populate the Electoral Register, including eligibility to vote. Check your Voter Status to ensure your details are correct, particularly your address, as this will impact who you can vote for.
Check your polling station before you head out to vote. You can only vote at the polling station assigned to your registered address and constituency, so it’s important to check where to go.
