The Lullaby Choir concert

The Lullaby Choir Concerts- St Mary’s Church

The Lullaby Choir, assembled with singers across the community, will be performing a collection of lullabies in Farsi, Urdu, Dutch, Māori, and English both traditional and original compositions, some written during last year’s Lullaby Project writing workshops.

The evening takes place on Saturday 7th December 2024 at 6pm.

Entry is free but tickets must be pre-booked through Eventbrite.

If you are unable to make the concert on the 7th, there will be one held at the Town Church in St Helier on the Saturday before, 30 November 2024.

Further information: Over the past two years, The Lullaby Project has been crafting a portrait of Jersey through collecting the lullabies sung to its children. Musicians Beth Allen, Janet Swan, Carol Donaldson, Thabo Mkwananzi, Katie Rose Bennett, and Esther Rose Parkes were commissioned in the spring this year to work with the collection of over 60 lullabies to create choir arrangements for the Lullaby Choir. This commissioning process resulted in 14 choir pieces.
