CHRISTMAS REFUSE COLLECTIONS WILL BE ON TUESDAY 24th & TUESDAY 31st DECEMBER

GLASS & RECYCLING WILL BE ON THURSDAY 9th JANUARY 2025

The Parish Hall will be closed from 1pm on Tuesday 24th December and not re-open until Thursday 2nd January.  For any emergency please contact the Duty Centenier.

2024 Branchage dates

Please note the dates for St Mary Branchage visits this year will be Thursday 4 July and Thursday 5 September.

Occupiers** of land bordering on the public roads of the Parish must trim hedges and branches and cut all overhanging trees so as to give a clearance of 12 feet over main roads and by-roads and 8 feet over footpaths and must remove any other encroachments, including all cuttings and trimmings, on the public highway. A financial penalty up to £100 may be levied for each infraction.

** the occupier of buildings or land is responsible but, for multiple occupancy properties, it is the company (if the property consists of share transfer flats) or the association of co-owners (if the property is flying freehold).

Please check for hedgehogs or other wildlife before you strim or cut.

If you find an injured hedgehog –
✓please pick it up with gloves and put it in a bucket/dustbin/box.
✓phone the Jersey Hedgehog Preservation Group (T: +44 (0) 1534 734340) for immediate help or take it to a vet.
If you disturb a nest with a mother and baby hedgehogs –
✓please cover it over with the material you have cut away and leave the area.
✓if you need to move the family use gloves to pick up mum, then all the babies, place in a bucket/dustbin/box and cover with as much original nest material as you can.
